-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
even if lens correction will only be of real use for me when http://darktable.org/redmine/issues/8659 has been resolved and lens correction works in styles like denoise does, there's another major annoyance, that I always have to select the lens manually for my "old" Olympus lenses: > exiftool somename.ORF [...] Camera Type 2 : E-520 [...] Body Firmware Version : 1.101 Lens Type : Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 [...] Lens Model : OLYMPUS 14-42mm Lens Lens Firmware Version : 1.305 [...] Darktable tries to match the model "OLYMPUS 14-42mm Lens" against lensfun's <model>-Entry, which obviously should be right, but isn't working. All would be fine, if a second guess would be made by comparing the "type" with the <maker>+<model>, at least for old Olympus cameras. I get said behaviour for theses tested combinations: * E-520 / Olympus Zuiko Digital 25mm F2.8 * E-520 / Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 * E-520 / Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 * E-600 / Olympus Zuiko Digital 25mm F2.8 * E-600 / Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 * E-600 / Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 (I can provide you with example RAWs, if needed.) My E-M5 works fine out of the box with different lenses. So, I *would* suggest a different or copied entry in the lensfun database, but if the Zuiko Digital 40-150mm f/3.5-4.5 and the Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 (of which I have only one) were both mapped to model "OLYMPUS 40-150mm Lens" in the exif, this wouldn't work. Therefore: Whose bug is it? Should darktable relax the matching as suggested above, or should i open a bug report for lensfun? Take care, Jan Niklas -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.14 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iEYEARECAAYFAlLdqOQACgkQqs0Y0QiF0rklyACggDMsztnAi2BYbVmRaebQOY/9 LSMAnigYKMwhuhJcRfe3kQu2c7nLYERw =c2Em -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CenturyLink Cloud: The Leader in Enterprise Cloud Services.
