Thanks for that support, Frank.

My problem is that the Mac OS version I downloaded doesn’t work in the same way
as the Linux version - dt doesn’t crash on Linux when it comes across a
Coolscan nef file, for example - and numerous other crashes I’ve experienced
don’t involve Coolscan files.

I’ve been trying to compile my own Mac OS version using the instructions here:

http://fossies.org/linux/darktable/packaging/macosx/BUILD.txt

and I found I had to install numerous additional packages to get through the
build phase and into “make”.

Here is where I last got stuck, and I’ve been unable to find a gdkquartz
package to give “os.mm” the .h file it needs.

I’m beginning to feel that providing and supporting a Mac version of darktable
is not a priority, and that I should be looking elsewhere for an image library
manager. Although Shotwell was available some years ago in Mac OS X form, this
is no longer the case - perhaps it proved too difficult?

Unless there is a Darktable user out there who can help me compile a version of
dt which I can run under gdb, I can’t proceed.

Michael
