Is that what these instructions were supposed to do?

   9     and this line to /opt/local/etc/macports/variant.conf:
  10      +llvm34 +ld64_236 +no_gnome +no_x11 +quartz -x11 -gnome

I can confirm that that line is present at the end of the variant.conf file.


I confess I feel like a blind man stabbing wildly in the dark when trying to 
compile such a complex project.
