But that's not what we are discussing. Look at the subject, this is about OpenCL and the situation is clear, for OpenCL you need the proprietary driver for AMD and NVIDIA. And as stated here many times by multiple users AMD has big issues with many configurations whereas NVIDIA support for more GPU and even some quite old.
