Jacques,
Thanks for the detailed instructions.
Sadly, I still only have 2.7.0. :(

this is darktable 2.7.0
copyright (c) 2009-2018 johannes hanika
[email protected]

compile options:
  bit depth is 64 bit
  normal build
  SSE2 optimized codepath enabled
  OpenMP support enabled
  OpenCL support enabled
  Lua support disabled
  Colord support enabled
  gPhoto2 support enabled
  GraphicsMagick support enabled
  OpenEXR support enabled

When I do 'git pull', I get a return of 'Already up to date'.
When I do 'git tag', the list doesn't show all the random text after the
version number (eg. +1954~g50ad5ba6c), just 2.7.0 and that's it.
For example....

release-2.4.0rc2
release-2.4.1
release-2.4.2
release-2.4.3
release-2.4.4
release-2.5.0
release-2.6.0
release-2.6.0rc0
release-2.6.0rc1
release-2.6.0rc2
release-2.6.1
release-2.6.2
release-2.7.0

Not sure what I'm missing.

Cheers,
Bruce Williams

I forgot one step:

Should be:

You also need the rawspeed module:

 git submodule init
 git submodule update
