Hi,
I've been using darktable for some time now, through various versions --
I've tried pretty much all of the different softwares on linux for working
with RAW -files, and found DT to be the best, for me. Since half a year or
so, on current development branch. One thing that's been bugging me since
day one, and unfortunately persists still, is that images I develop with
darktable are always darker than I was aiming at.
This is not the case with other software I use, only darktable. When
developing in DT, I see the current image; I export it --- and when I open
it somewhere else, it's darker. As in: should've increased brightness more.
I've learned to compensate, but every now and than I remember that this
really isn't how it's supposed to be. I shouldn't have to open them in a
second software only to adjust brightness (and, sometimes, contrast).
Can you think of some setting that would adjust this? Correct what I'm
seeing, or whatever? Colour-profile or what have you?
Kind regards,
Kristian
