I wrote a command line util a while back to help with moving from Picasa to
Darktable that you may
find useful.  The film roll and image rename/move I think are handled now
in Darktable itself (haven't
tried it yet tho) but the ability to batch copy tags and crop&rotate
settings was a *tremendous* time
saver for me.
