Some progress:

I found and was able to delete the old .config and .cache files. I then
re-installed dt 1.6.

Same problem: I can’t navigate within “Places”. My directory structure is
visible but, selecting a folder either results in nothing happening at all or,
an unrelated root folder opening up. Once in the latter, I am unable to select
any further folders to either back out or to go deeper.

Is anybody successfully running dt 1.6 on Mavericks 10.9.5? I perversely hope
not since it would be difficult for me to try to alleviate the problem if it’s
unique on my machine!
