Not sure, to me it seems like when all is set to 0 the module is
indeed deactivated.
As soon as you set some values the image is dark because the output strength is
the sum of all sliders in percent. Just push a bit more the sliders
and you'll see
the image appears.

Not sure if it is intended to work like this but at least that's how
it works for me.
