Hi, I'm seeing similar things through versions 1.6.2, 1.6.4 and currently 1.6.6.
The behaviour is not reproducible (sometimes I can edit the images without problems, sometimes dt is hanging with 100% CPU). In the last few minutes I tried it three times with opencl --> hang --> killing dt and one time with opencl disabled --> success.
