Hello all,

I’ve just noticed that the preset base curve for my secondary camera (D90)
refers to “nikon like” rather than “Nikon D90”. It seems that the preset
parameters (model: %NIKON D90% , maker: %NIKON CORPORATION%) are set up
correctly as they correspond to the EXIF data.

A similar thing happens with my D7100. Although I also have a preset set up (my
own, since I’ve not seen a packed preset) for this camera’s particulars (model:
%NIKON D7100% , maker: %NIKON CORPORATION%), the proper base curve is not being
applied.

Hmm…. Is a base curve applied only once when a photo is imported? I’ve just
gone through some of my existing folders. A variety of base curves have been
applied to the photos, even though the photos were shot with only one
particular camera.

How do I ensure that the proper base curve is always applied?

Another puzzling thing: In the preset dialogue window of “darktable
preferences”, I see a number of different camera models which do not appear in
the “base curve” preset dropdown when I’m in darkroom. Judging by the lock icon
beside the entries, these appear to be packaged presets. Comments?

I’m using darktable 1.6.8 on Fedora 22 (kde desktop)

Thanks for your assistance.
