Thanks for your input, Pedro. Perhaps I’m a bit too thick to grasp your 
meaning; I can’t see how this would help…

Even for my D90 (for which there is a dk-provided base curve), the base curve 
is not auto-applied.
I DID create a new base curve for my D7100 yet it also is not being 
auto-applied.

The above occur in spite of preset parameters (model: %NIKON D90% , maker: 
%NIKON CORPORATION%) and (model: %NIKON D7100% , maker: %NIKON CORPORATION%)  
being set up correctly. Is what I consider to be “correctly” not correct?
