Thanks for pointing this out. What's happening is that not all camera-specific curves are set to auto-apply on match. We don't seem to have set that consistently (e.g., the D7000 is not auto-applying and the D7200 is) as you can see on the presets list in the prefs. We probably need to make this more straightforward. Meanwhile you can just create a new preset with the same values (just do store new preset after selecting the D90 one) and make it autoapply to that camera.
