Hi Johannes,

Wouldn't viewing the preview at the correct resolution be better than
nothing though? Or is the difference between the darkroom preview and the
final export that large? Surely when people are tuning the sharpening
settings they don't do it by adjusting and exporting and then re-adjusting
repeatedly, right?

I guess a different question I could ask is: how do _you_ evaluate edits
that are more impacted by output resolution (like sharpening decisions)
when using darktable? Most sharpening tutorials I've seen have included the
comment "you should evaluate the results at the final output resolution."
Obviously I can and should evaluate the final export before I decide I'm
finished with the image, but it would be nice to be able to get close
before exporting.
