Yes, the redirection works fine and I can now print from DP with no direct problems.
However, as you know, I use a printer control panel in my applications and have printer definitions for quite a few legacy printers. At first attempt, it appears that DOS2USB lets my printer control codes through ok. But I haven't yet found a set of codes for my new printer and it doesn't like my old Laserjet codes. I'll have to do some more digging on this one.
Time to stop work for the rest of the weekend, though I imagine I won't be able to leave this one alone on Sunday.
