Hi Ralph, The intention is just to load the 1200 record file that wouldn't work in the full database to an empty database. If it loads quickly without a problem then it leaves size of database data or and index problem as the two probable choices. If he has the same problem then I would assess the file created from WP used for the import.
If it loads without a problem then I would copy the entire database to another directory and delete 1/2 of the older data. then re-import the 1200 datafile into this one. It may even be the operating system causing a problem with the handling of the index and large file at the same time. If usinf windows XP I might suggest using one of the older systems like Win2000 or vice versa. all the best, mark ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ralph Alvy" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, August 19, 2007 4:28 PM Subject: [Dataperf] Re: Re: I need help with a dumb question! > Mark, > > What exactly is it you want her to try here?
