Hi Tim,

If you have any problems let me know and I will see if I can correct them. I actually wrote it to help me develop a new application but I ran it on my flagship database the other day which is absolutely enormous and I which I had had it years ago, as it seems to cope fine, and very quickly it revealed some of the sins of my early coding.

Eventually I hope to have an Adobe Flash application which will give a visual guide to the Links in the program, as in an ER Diagram, similar to the DPLinks program. DPLinks is fine but it is very difficult to read if you have many panels, and doesn;t give you information about the link itself. I have tried using some of the existing ER Diagram tools, especially those with XML imports/exports as I thought I could showhorn the XML from the STE-BASE, but I think it is something that I will have to write myself one day...

Bye
Brian

I agree! WOW is a good description. I just tried it on a simple database and
was quite impressed. I'm looking forward to seeing what it will do with my
'flagship' database. :)

Thanks Brian!

Hi Brian,

I just finished running STE-MGR with your modified STE-BASE, and the
STE.XML report.

When I opened the file in Firefox, I encountered a couple of errors.
I had given a couple of fields names which include the dreaded
ampersand. When I scrolled down to the listed error line and found
the ampersand, I opened the file in WP Editor, and modified the "&"
to "&" and tried again.

WOW! This is marvelous. I have played with STE-MGR and STE-BASE over
the years, even printed out the .STE file, but this is absolutely
marvelous. Thank you.

Rich
