Hi Don,

I should have also stated that this was under Win XP. I am running Win 7 at home so I can check to see if the behavior is repeated.

I'll keep trying to make sense out of the DPMouse manual. Tough sledding.

Rich - that's really strange. But as operating systems seem to progress I also find odd things happening. For example, on my laptop running Win7 (my only machine to do so) I can't use any incremental field code; take the same .str to any other machine it's fine.

Hi folks,

Working in a new panel, I have a row of check boxes, with labels above each box in use:

 DNSWWNWUN
 [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]

Due to space limitations, I have crammed the labels and boxes as close together as I can. To help differentiate the labels, I underlined the middle three WWN, and underlined/bolded the last three.

As I was poking around, I looked at the color coding for the labels and thought that maybe I should bold the "DNS" label. When I clicked on that field, DPMouse put an "X" in it. I cancelled the edit, and went into define panel Alt-F8, and added the bolding.

When I exited to Browse mode, I clicked on the field and nothing happened. So I clicked on the next two, and again nothing happened. The last two, without labels and also without any bolding or underlining, worked fine. So I took off the bold that I had added and the clicking now worked. Further poking shows that if no text modifying is applied to the character directly above the field, then the "Xing" will work.

Going back to the DPMouse manual, and trying to find out why this might be happening was unproductive. Does anyone know why this is happening, and is there any work-around?

There is also some problem with the bracket being hard against the left margin.

Thanks,

Rich
