Hallo Geert, hoe ben je?

Yes, that seems one way but the one demonstrated years ago was with use of a DP
Mouse I believe, and only need to add a character to the top right corner of
the panel. Anyway, it doesn’t look like DP Mouse is even available anymore, so
never mind that route.

As for the conditional formula, I got the gist of it but I’m basically trying
to “close” a record after being processed. So for example, a record of a
transaction is printed. I then want to ensure that record cannot be altered
after printing. Is there a way I can store the value “1” onto the conditional
field in the selected record upon printing?

Thanks,

Ed.

Hi Ed - and all :)

if I remember well, an easy way to achieve this is to create a
"non-updatable/must-be updated" (::N ::M) field in the panel and give it value
"1" with a conditional formula ("if field = 0 then 1 else 0 endif"), calculated
on create and edit...

Regards,

Geert.

Hello All,

I seem to recall there is a way in which to “lock” a record in a panel that no
changes to the data is allowed. Somebody demonstrated this in the DP
conference ages ago in Huntington Beach. I believe that the WP SHELL had to be
running as well. Not sure if the DP mouse also had to be running. Does anyone
know more about this feature?

Thanks,

Ed.
