Hi Ed,

It is real-time, but the way we used it, at least, was in a *copy* of the
DP database. We kept the two copies in sync using transaction logs. The
engine and DP can both be working against the same data files concurrently
if you need that. The engine can browse, edit records, create records,
keep-a-total, etc. all under the direction of a C program.
