Because the drivers shouldn't contain anything board specific, at least not directly. Some TI's code like the MMC driver has been plagued by that. > MV or open source cannot support every board that every customer makes, right? TI isn't even trying to ease that task putting the code specific to EVM into the drivers. > Or do I misunderstanding your point? > When you said "we can't just rename them to omapl1xx.c to not offend the > other", I didn't finish typing. I meant to say "the other TI's branch which markets DA8xx". :-) > do you mean renaming it will change other part of the source code, makefile > etc.? It sure will. > It might be tedious but is that a lot of effort? Double names would look quite stupid, to be honest. And I'm not sure they will be upstream acceptable. > Zhengting He (Ph.D) > Application Engineer > DSP Catalog > email: [email protected] > voice: 281-274-4355 > fax: 281-274-2279 WBR, Sergei _______________________________________________ Davinci-linux-open-source mailing list [email protected] http://linux.davincidsp.com/mailman/listinfo/davinci-linux-open-source
