Not really. It might be *nice* to have all of the pinmux options pre-defined, but it's not *necessary* to do that. Consider how OMAP works: well over 400 signals that could be exported on most chips, a few hundred muxable pins with up to eight primary settings each. (And on OMAP3, several additional settings for pullup/down and off mode.)
