At this point testing Perl 5.8.1 with all the modules and scripts you
use is a more important goal than just testing the DBI and drivers.

The issue isn't so much whether DBI and DBD::foo work with 5.8.1,
but whether 5.8.1 has bugs that could be found and fixed before release.

Perl 5.8.1 is been very well tested during development (the perl
test suite has over 1500 new tests) but given the nature of Perl
there's bound to be code "in the wild" that does something unusual.

So the more real code that 5.8.1 is tested with the better.
