You're better off rebuilding from the source provided at nfgd.net

Add a deb-src line
echo 'deb-src http://debian.nfgd.net/debian stable main' >>
   /etc/apt/sources.list
cd /usr/src
apt-get build-dep dbmail
apt-get source -b dbmail

should pretty much do the trick.
