It's from dbmail-2.2.2. I've been somewhat spooked by reports of issues
with upgrading from this version. Also, the latest version available in
the portage overlay I'm using ( sunrise ) is 2.2.6_rc1, and I don't feel
particularly good about running release candidates here either.

I'm also using glib-2.12.12

MySQL lets you shove your own values into auto_increment fields. I
realise this won't work for Postgres users though.
