I may have jumped to an early conclusion here, as I am not able to
reproduce your problem. Sorry about that.
Could you please be more elaborate on how you configured all your
libraries? The more information you provide us, the easier it will be for
us to help you. Feel free to attach logfiles to your mails. Could you
please be especially elaborate on:
- Which compiler version did you use?
- Did you download and install a PETSc release, or did you clone the
current master branch of the PETSc repository?
- If you downloaded the release, which exact version did you use? You
said you use 3.14, but you missed out the patch. The most recent release
is
3.14.5. Did you use this one?
- If you cloned the master branch, could you try to build deal.II
with the latest official release of PETSc?
Further, I would like to propose to follow this PETSc installation guide
for deal.II <https://www.dealii.org/current/external-libs/petsc.html> and
try to configure PETSc with the provided command. Let us know if that works.
