os-prober version 0.06 !NOTE 4: yaboot config failed although the installer did correctly identify the bootstrap partition location. Failure could come from pb reported at (3). I am now investingating this.
Failed in what way? If the installer correctly identified the bootstrap
partition location then I don't think it's due to (3). If it falls over
without a good error message during the "Probing for other operating
systems" step, that was an os-prober bug and has been fixed in os-prober
0.07.
