Pybuild builds everything under .pybuild in the package root;
It installs things there, but the sdist obviously has to be built from
the package root. And MANIFEST.in defines what goes into the sdist.
I am wondering why we discuss this general problem in a
now-package-specific bug and not in the mailing list or a pybuild
related issue (where it was before)? It seems that it is not really
specific to asdf-coordinates-schemas, but either a documentation issue
or a wishlist item for pybuild.
Yes, a mailing list would be more appropriate.
We have a current (upstream recommended) solution here, which is to use
the PyPI source.
