Ah, right -- I was forgetting that we made it so that file= stuff gets
converted into the url= form for you, so that was a red herring.  Sorry.

Looking at this, that you mentioned elsewhere:

if at that point, you switch to a console:

  Is there actually a /cdrom/ directory?

  If there is, does it contain a preseed.cfg?
