From your other message I was under the impression that you thought it was ok to remove Upstart support, but now you agree that if there was interest, then it should be kept (as long as it does not cause issues). Is the maintainer supposed to accept the support then remove it a few months later :) ? Are those interested in Upstart support supposed to hawk over packages and never get a wink of sleep? I do not think that is what you want, but the wording of your other message (that you would not be surprised if upstart support was removed) seems like it is.

Would you mind clarifying a little?
