As mentioned elsewhere, this may very well have been the idea, and I thought so too for a while, but apparently there is no consensus. I also like the idea of setting the Maintainer field explicitly, because (compared to creating a Git repository in salsa.d.o/debian) this is much more unlikely to be done by people who do not understand the implications.So I took the liberty and created a Debian Commons team on tracker.d.o[1]. You can now use "Debian Commons <[email protected]>" as Maintainer, which will auto-add them to this team.This is not the purpose of the Debian group on salsa ?
