Hi Paul,

* Paul Gevers <[email protected]> [2026-05-11 16:34]:
Hi all,

TL;DR: I declare weak ownership in my package by using "Debian Commons <[email protected]>" as the maintainer and myself as uploader.
I am big fan of the idea, and I'd like to contribute my razor to the Yak shaving procedure. ;)

As people pointed out, the current UX is sub-optimal, as the email address is somewhat non-descriptive and it is difficult to get an overview of "the commons".

So I took the liberty and created a Debian Commons team on tracker.d.o [1]. You can now use "Debian Commons <[email protected]>" as Maintainer, which will auto-add them to this team.

I will manually add some of your packages to jump-start the group. Incidentally, I also muted the group for myself so I don't get all emails for all Debian Commons packages, but if someone feels compelled, they can certainly subscribe to the team and do some archive-wide QA maintenance.

Cheers
Timo
