just out of curiosity, do you mean "not quickly enough
unstable->fasttrack" or "not quickly enough upstream->unstable->fasttrack"?

Not quickly enough unstable->fasttrack, where "not quickly enough" is
defined as "VirtualBox wasn't even in fasttrack available to download
for Trixie for weeks if not months after Trixie's release." If there
had been a version there, any version, we probably would have stuck
with fasttrack, but it wasn't there at all. I asked in the fasttrack's
team's Matrix room multiple times how I could help get it packaged,
and received no meaningful response that I remember. (This isn't a
complaint; fasttrack's maintenance is best-effort and provided for
free by volunteers, and I very much understand not having time to do
things or time to tell others how to do things. It's just why I fear
fasttrack may be too difficult for newcomers to help with.)

Hi Aaron,

You could request upload access if you are a DD or DM. You could also look for sponsors, if you are not a DD or DM.

You can also use https://salsa.debian.org/fasttrack-team/support/-/issues if no response in matrix/irc.

fwiw, I'm following unstable closely for these packages on
fastforward.debian.net, generally uploading at least within the same day
of the unstable upload, and Gianfranco does an awesome job uploading new
virtualbox versions very timely to sid.

Regards,
Daniel
