Den Begriff findet man auch in sehr vielen Handbuchseiten. Natürlich besteht ein Leerraum aus Leerraumzeichen, genauso wie ein Kommentar aus vielen anderen Zeichen besteht. Insofern wäre »Leerräume« das Pendant zu »Kommentare«.
