Hmmm, I actually think this is a good move and hope that other large providers will jump on the AOL bandwagon soon and start enforcing some of these stringent requirements so that the rest of us smaller providers can start enforcing the same requirements at our own mail servers and gateways. Since most spammers do not control their own name servers, this will help us immensely in our efforts to block the crap. Once these requirement become an accepted practice (as required by the large providers), then those that control the name servers will start supporting rDNS on their name servers for their mail domains, and thus these changes should only impact and hurt the spammers (at least that's the goal, anyway).
