That can be normal. It can take anywhere from a second or so to a about a
minute to scan an E-mail. Note that the CPU of the server won't help much
(Declude JunkMail doesn't use much CPU time, whereas Declude Virus
does). The delays occur when DNS lookups are done (and a lot of DNS
lookups can be done).

>Also running Declude Virus ... so is this a combination of both programs?

While Declude Virus will use up a lot of CPU time for about a second, the
combination of both programs won't cause any delays beyond what each one adds.

If you are running v1.22 or earlier, the biggest speed boost would be to
upgrade to 1.26a. In 1.23, we changed the code so that most DNS tests
would be run in parallel (at the same time). Previously, Declude would
wait for one DNS query to come back before it would start another one.

As I just checked our logs, it seems that the latest beta version
introduced a new delay, causing all mail to take at least 10 seconds to
process. I guess that's something else we'll need to look into!
