As an FYI and per request of Jon, I added the REPORT line and tried it
again with the MID setting, here is a snip of the logs.
As I suspected, it caused a problem.  :)

I have now removed the /LIS and REPORT. We'll see how that goes.

Yes, it is safe to delete any stray .vir directories. The only problem it can cause is if they are .vir directories that Declude Virus is currently using, in which case deleting the directory could potentially allow a virus through (if the E-mail being scanned contained a virus).
