What do you do about multiple contiguous spaces in the subject line?
That is actually included as part of the SPAMHEADERS test.
Do you just put the spaces in as if they were an actual text value? Do
you put the spaces in quotes, or would that not work because Declude is
literally expecting to see " " with the quotes and
all? It seems that if there weren't quotes or something, it would be
possible that the filter would be for an empty subject rather than one
containing X number of contiguous spaces.
Actually, this can't be done with the filters. The problem is that Declude
JunkMail looks for the first non-whitespace character to determine where
the filter string starts. However, when we add the ability to use quotes
in the filters, this will be possible.
SUBJECT 10 CONTAINS " "
Does it literally look for the quotes, or between them?
This would look for the quotes, too, unfortunately.
My second question is regarding the weight definitions.
What happens if you define the weights differently in your
\imail\declude\filter.txt file and your global.cfg file? Does one win out
over the other, or does the filter fail to work properly due to
self-inflicted confusion?
With the filters, the weights get added to each other.
