The founder of TuCows is an old acquaintance of mine and he recently
started his own independent consulting service. To my surprise, he did
not use TuCows (DomainDirect) to register his new domain, He used
GoDaddy instead!. We initially tried Domain Direct only to be nickel
and dimed to death, so we pulled out right away. For example, they
would let you transfer at a low rate, but then the charge you if you
wanted to host your own DNS and edit the records accordingly. We have
found none of this with enom.com and despite being the one of lowest
prices we have found, the support is great.
