Trying to get Junkmail started, but it doesn't check the blacklists. The log shows WARNING: BOGUS DNS SERVER !
This was actually covered on the list a couple of weeks ago (see below). I tried the advice Scott gave, but it didn't work. Mail is going out normally. Need some more ideas! I moved mail server to another machine and declude is not catching spam - however declude anti-virus is catching virii. In the junkmail log I see the following: WARNING: BOGUS DNS SERVER ! What did I forget to do? That line looks misleading, but it isn't, if you understand what it really is saying. It is not saying "You are using a bogus DNS server", it is saying "Your DNS [name] is bogus". However, since the DNS server is blank, it reads differently than it should. If you have no DNS servers listed in the IMail SMTP DNS settings, you'll need to add one. If you do have one there, you can cut and paste the results back into the box they are listed in, then click "Apply" (it sounds like this should do nothing, but it usually will fix the problem). -Scott --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list.
