Just out of curiosity, have you benchmarked them against a dual Xeon system?  If so, any conclusions?  My read on things was that the performance of the single core Opteron's at 2.6 Ghz were +50% faster than a single core Xeon at 3.2 Ghz.

Sorry to reply late.  We have set up Dell Powervaults with that
approximate
configuration.  You can usually get a pretty good discount off of the list
price.  We usually go with a raid 5 configuration.
