(Speculation Coming) However, in SmarterMail (Which I am not sure of) do Gateway domains count as a domain under their system? If so your Declude Subscription may end up costing you way more. Anyone running SmarterMail and Gatewaying how do the gateway domains work - do they count?
The last time I spoke with Smarter Tools about this, they said that the free/demo version could be used as a "Smart Host" (ie: gateway), since there is only the requirement for one dummy (or real) domain on the box to get it listening. That would work for unlimited domains. I never pursued it because they didn't have a mechanism for handling dictionary attacks and so it was a completely impactical gateway from my point of view. I don't know whether they have fixed that or not. I suspect not, because nobody in support there even understood the concept.
