Define "motor pulses" - you need to now what information arrives at
the computer and how it gets in. Could be anything from pushing a
parallel port line high or low (poor man's digital input) to a time
stamp on the interface to a high speed IO card. Until you/we know that
it's impossible to tell. So ask: what connects the motor to the
computer. Then get the manual for that.
