OK, got some info on usage from Annie/others:

- about 6000 active licences in NZ market.
- CCH use it to run their MDF manifacturing plant, 24x7, and are looking
at Delphi/SAP
  at present, AFAIK.
- Soverign Assurance have, AFAIK, ALL their internal apps written in
Delphi
- Banking seams to like it, as its stable and maintainable.
- ALM Systems POS2000 is used in a LOT of places.
- Foodstuffs - frontends to AS/400
- F&P wrote an OS which runs their machines which make the washing
machines, + F&P
  healthcare (what do they do????)
- NZ Defence (contradiction?) use it, dunno what for.
- national bank use it, mostly in back end.
- ASB's Professional Trusts app (management of trust accounts) is in
Delphi, even
  tho they are an MS shop :)
- All TAB's core software is in Delphi (also 24x7)
- PEC - SW for petrol industry (back and front office, and pump
management)
- FinTel - customer service app + others.
- Universities (18 of them) train in delphi. 'Known' that lecturers
perfer it
  over VB, but its maybe not marketed as well as VB :)
- Health technologies Ltd - patient management system
- AMP inventments
- Mantrack, payrolls.
- Trade and Exchange, core system.
- Moore Business Forms
- Trimble Navigation? Scientific weather monitoring??
- Some of the MS stuff - knowledge base CD's, some games etc - are
written in
  Delphi (ironic, No?)
- Research/Government companies - Land care research, what-was-DSIR,
police (tho not INCIS,
  thats in C++)
