BIG developments done in Delphi her in NZ if pos.....
Jetline 2000 software - my project for the last two years. This is
specifically for the dairy industry for product sold overseas by actual
weight (random weight). This is the manufacturing front end weighing and
labeling blocks of cheese, bag of milk powder etc in real time at 30 bags or
cartons per minute with the ability to transfer data into the stock system
(JDE or Oracle) close to real time (approx 60 seconds after the barcode
label for pallet is printed). Currently installed and running at one site
with discussion with other sites now under way.
The moment you talk real time for any system forget VB.

Subject: [DUG]: Why Delphi is Better Than VB
Hi all.
Well I have a queston that may return MANY answers and cause some debat,
that maybe healthy.....hehehe
Where I am working at the moment, they are very Vb orientated...which is
fine..to a point.
I have meantioned Delphi a few times for certain things, but the guywhy they
rely on to make these decisions in totally VB biased, and NOT interested in
anyother technology at all...which as you can imagine is damn frustrating.
I was talking to my boss yesterday, and she seemed quite interested in
Delphi......BUT what I would like to aks is this, soi can answer the
critices elsewhere at work, is "Why is Delphi Better than VB".
No Iknow some of the obvious questions, but I am looking for a reason for
them to standup and take notice of Delphi....i.e. widden their
horizens......
I know VB does some stuff better than Delphi, but I also would like to know
of some BIG developments done in Delphi her in NZ if pos.....
Thanks, and look forward to the banter that follows this email....hehehehe
