Heres a list of all the Delphi books I've got plus magazines subscribed to
- All have been useful at some time or other. I've noticed that in a lot of
books emphasis is placed on the features of Delphi with a sad lack of coverage
of the (Borland) Pascal language - I think to be an effective Delphi / Windows
programmer one really needs to know the underlying language as well as
possible.
the list ...
Magazines:-
- Visual Developer (discontinued)
- Delphi Informant
- Delphi Developers Journal (I think now taken over by Delphi Developer)
Books
- Delphi Developers Guide (Pacheco & Teixeira)
- Hidden Paths of Delphi
- Delphi Programming Problem Solver (Rubenking)
If you can get copies of Borland Pascal books that came with Turbo Pascal 6
or Borland Pascal 7 as thy give good info on language etc tho' it must be said
this info is well presented in Acrobat format on the Delphi CD (Delphi 4)
Hope this helps.
