Going back to the D5 instability issue. I initially found D5 extremely
stable until I installed C++ Builder 3 standard on the same PC. I then
started getting AVs every where with D5. To remedy this problem I had to
uninstall both D5 and C++ 3 Standard (The one that came with D5) and then
reinstall D5. Once I had done all that D5 was as stable as before, ie a
rock.
IMHO D5 rocks especially as the IDE is noticeably faster than D4!
I use Win98 at home and have found it to be just as stable as my NT4 install
at work. Although I do wish I could have the NT Task Manager for Win98 so I
can minimise it to the system tray.
Just my two cents worth.
