I wish there is lord of the ring existing in the programming language to
rule them all ;-). But it just like normal life, no one tool will suit
anything. Just get used to using multiple tools should be fine. For normal
windows application, I think Delphi is great. For Linux platform, wrote in
C/C++ in KDevelope is not that hard.

Just my 2 nz cents ;-)

Have a nice day

Delphi stability is major nuisance - massive crashes on exit; Every
second or third time you press
Run, I get AV. If reset and press Run again, then this go normally.
Advice is that a 3rd party component is responsible but only solution to
find it, it steady uninstall until problem goes away.

I hate C style languages but VS C# is very productive, stable platform.
Feels like Delphi, has the features like unicode and object inspectors
that falls on deaf ears at Borland etc. My vast component base keeps
small fast projects in Delphi, but for major or long term work, its
becoming too risky.

Web apps are fact of life despite being horribly painful to write and
use. However, none of this happening on windows platform so delphi not
even an issue.
