Just did the complete build. I also made sure range checking was turned
off before I did the build. Unfortunately this did not work. I suppose I will try the compiler switch now. I will have to look into
that. Thanks for the idea though … Regards, Eric Eric Tishler Software Architect Resolute Partners, LLC Phone: 203.271.1122 Fax: 203.271.1460 [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original
Message----- It's possible that at
some recent time you have done a build which has recompiled the Quick Report
dcu files (assuming you have the Quick Reports source). If you currently have
range checking turned on in your Delphi environment then the Quick Report dcu's
will have been compiled with range checking on... and it's entirely possible
that Quick Reports doesn't support range checking and contains range check
errors (we have a similar issue with a PNG unit we use). If this is the case then
you can possibly fix it by turning range checking off in your project options
and doing a full build. Another alternative which will stop it from happening
in future is to explicitely turn range checking off at the top of each of the Quick
Report pas files (can't remember what the switch is, something like $R-. This
is what we did to fix the PNG unit). David. -----Original
Message----- I have not updated any
components in over a month now. The development environment has pretty well
settled into a constant state (other than the application development itself). I took your suggestion and
copied the project somewhere safe. Then I loaded it again and chose to ignore
the error for the offending form. This was a huge help as I
was able to easily isolate the problem. I Use Quick Reports (*ugh* - I know – I
inherited this project along with Quick Reports) Anyway, Quick Report has
many components, but it comes down to the main QuickRep component itself. While
I can drop detail and summary bands on an empty form, the QuickRep component
itself causes a Range Check error when it is dropped on the form. I have tried uninstalling
and reinstalling the package, unfortunately no matter what I do I still get the
same error once Quick Reports is reinstalled. Any other ideas would be
appreciated. Thanks again, Eric Eric Tishler Software

is too big for the variable that takes it, so you may have changed an unsigned
integer to an integer or something like that. In my experience componente hardly ever get deleted when you see
errors like this. The best plan is to copy the project. Let delphi make the changes
then compare the dfm files. You will then see what has changed. Stacey -----Original
Message----- There
are several forms in a Delphi project I am working on. Everything worked fine,
then all of the sudden today I get an error when I try to bring up the form in
the Delphi (6.0) IDE. The
Error reads: Error Reading Form (in the title bar) Range
check error. Ignore the error and continue? NOTE: Ignoring
the error may cause components to be deleted or Property
values to be lost. I do
not believe I made (or saved) any changes that may cause this. Can any
body help me? Thank
you, Eric Eric
