Unfortunately I started with some form of basic, can't remember the device, Sinclair, TRS80, whatever. Never really got into it. Moved onto Pascal on a PDP-11 (don't ask). Data General Business Basic. (Not the best). A bit at Vic, VMS - still some Pascal. I sort of understand it.
Foxbase - Foxpro. Cool stuff... Still doing Pascal for anything useful. TP1..TP3 BP?-7 (big skip there) Object Vision? (Never really found a target) Delphi 1-2005 (got lots of people interested at 1) I still like Pascal; it seems to be the way I think... (Or maybe it thinks the way I do) I'm way behind in the current stakes, but I have seen a lot of C (of any variety) code that makes no sense to any but the writer (definitely not me). I have yet to see that in Pascal. (Well not Indeciferable to me) I may be a bit backwards, but I haven't found a problem I can't solve with a combination of native compiler and maybe a bit of lower level code... I have good experience in machine code but have rarely had to use it. Dot Net appears to me to be a cop out.
